Kaminsky's Luzon Lodge
1930's

Lori Schneider describes her grandparents' rooming house:
"Kaminsky's Luzon Lodge was a rooming house (a kuchalein) in Hurleyville.
My grandparents bought a farm on their honeymoon in the early '20's
and built the 25 room house for people to escape the heat of the city in the summers.
My grandfather died young (in his early 40's),
leaving my grandmother to raise four children.
Grammie ran Kaminsky's until 1975 when she sold it.
She died just months after the property was sold."
