Welcome to Hurleyville

Welcome to Hurleyville nestled in among the foothills of the Catskills
Here we've got the best of both worlds
We can soar skyward like the mountains that surround us
Or we can climb down to the level of the ground in our valley
We're down to earth

Welcome to Hurleyville where the deer outnumber people
Believe it or not once on Main Stret we had a traffic jam
One of the locals (deer, that is) brought traffic to a standstill
For a thrill ride as fast as you will
Glide your bicycle down Columbia Hill

Welcome to Hurleyville where the Mongaup River is
Kind of low right now 'cause they've been working on the dam
Way downriver by the Swinging Bridge Reservoir
Just another reminder how connected we all are

We're all connected by our love for peace and quiet
Our common bond is our strong longing for simplicity
If links are what you're looking for you'll find that
Our hamlet has a feeling of familiarity

(Instrumental Interlude)

Welcome to Hurleyville childhood home of a veteran hero
Who singlehandedly stopped a lot of Nazis dead in their tracks
Our Francis Currey Boulevard acknowledges his bold attacks
And all of the brave by whom our way has been paved
Our freedom borne on their tracks

Welcome to Hurleyville where we put our history and our artistry both proudly on display
There are so many great things to do
Watch the bright night sky come into view
Catch exciting events Mother Nature presents in her outdoor galleries

Welcome to Hurleyville nestled in among the foothills of the Catskills
Here we've got the best of both worlds
We can soar skyward like the mountains that surround us
Or we can climb down to the level of the ground in our valley
We're down to earth

Yes we can climb down to the level of the ground in our valley
We're down to earth
